Hotel towel loss questions

What counts as towel loss?

Count pieces that cannot return to service because they are missing, permanently stained, torn or otherwise retired. Keep recoverable items separate so the loss rate is not overstated.

How should a hotel calculate its monthly towel-loss rate?

Divide net pieces lost during the month by the total program inventory at the start of the month, then multiply by 100. Use the same counting rules every month so the trend is comparable.

Why does the calculator default to four PAR?

The four-PAR model represents one set in guestrooms, one in laundry, one soiled or in transit and one in the linen closet. Adjust the input if your operating model differs.

Is the calculated amount a quote from Havana 1960?

No. The result is a planning estimate based on the prices and rates entered. Contact Havana 1960 for current product availability and wholesale pricing.
